The distinctive 28 gates building, which was originally stables and grain lofts, then later shearers' quarters, has been delicately transformed into premium boutique luxury accommodation - a complete refurbishment that affords a luxury beyond the tallest stories of any of its former occupants. Opened in October 2011 our accommodation in Tasmania is now yours to discover.

This three bedroom living quarters has been established on “Bloomfield”, a 6th generation family owned grazing property that dates back to 1862, just a few years before British troops departed colonial Australia.

The simple façade of 28 gates hides a secret boutique luxury within. Still simple, the interior luxury lies with pure quality and understated beauty - a reflection of the landscape outside. Polished floors made from Tasmanian timbers, comfortable leather sofas, finest bed linen, cosy wood-fire and free-standing bath looking out to a country sky would all astound weary shearers and delight discerning travellers.
At 28 gates, our quality accommodation over two floors sleeps up to six people, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas and a fully appointed kitchen, but this is just the beginning…
The walls display a series of works by local photographer, Alan Leisheim. These are available for sale should you wish to take one home.

Credit card details are required to secure bookings and a 50% deposit must be paid 7 days prior to arrival. 75% of deposit will be returned upon cancellation. We would be happy to reschedule booking if required. Remainder of your fee and sundry items will be charged to your credit card at departure.
